But one of the things they did was they gave a guesstimate of what the twenty eight twenty-nine cap could be. And I stress this is a guesstimate because it's not set in stone. Um three your agreement that they made with the players association And we're in the second year of it, as you said, one hundred four this year, one hundred thirteen next year. You want to take a guess? at what they put up there or what they told people. I don't know if it was like uh on a slide or they said it or what they did, but you wanna take a guess at Just looking at your face right

That is an excellent guess. We are well into the 120s. The guesstimate was 127.5. And the interesting thing about that, Kyle, is that if it was to be 127.5, that would be a $14 million raise from next year to the year after. And that would be the biggest single season raise. since the cap came in in oh five, oh six. That is a massive in all caps,
massive number. So, well, it's funny you mentioned all caps because who is now the chairman of the executive committee? Ted Leon's the owner of the Washington Capitals. I it was interesting listening to some of the things that he said. Like what? Well, when he said, right now we're a big public company and we have to act like one. I thought that was really interesting. He phrased it that way when describing the league. And he himself said he's you know the visionary, the big picture guy. And when he was saying things like, look, you look at the company as 150 billion in value, and how do we go about doubling it? It was it was quite something to hear. Look, we know we're we're heading into the dawn. of a new era sometime soon.
We know Gary Bettman's not gonna be the commissioner forever. We're heading into a new era, a new way of thinking. Franchises have never been worth more, and clearly there is a push to grow those numbers well above where they are right now. We just had an unprecedented summer that changed everything by how we look at players' salary. Two

We're gonna get to Fantilli here in a little bit. You know, he just signed, just all of a sudden becomes the fifth highest paid player in the league this year. It's uh it's an interesting thing to think about. And now the idea of the salary cap two years from now being 14 million. higher than the previous year. It's uh it feels like a lot very, very fast, but it sounds like that's kind of what the league wants here. Well it's what the league
