So you literally had to get on a bus and just hope for the best that you'd recognize the stop.
Someone might have told you this is what the stop looks like.
Actually, famously, when I was getting the bus to Inchicore and I was told, get off at the big tap.
And I was like, I don't know what the big tap is.
Yeah.
Because I didn't at the time.
And there's a big tap on the south side as well.
but i mean yeah but but that was how it used to be was that you'd be given directions and you'd hope for the best and you might have to ask someone beside you can you tell me i want to and or tourists might ask you i need to get off at o'connell street will you
when we're there and you'd say ah yeah no problem i'll be on the bus until then yeah like things are actually so much easier now and still we stress yeah we do stress and just while we're on the topic of buses can we please have some extra training on how the drivers are using that brake pedal because it is treacherous
I cannot how are people supposed to stand up and get to the bottom of the stairs you're there hoping a light will go red so you can pelt down the stairs before you're thrown like but you know what's funny so I mostly get the Lewis these days in my new house I don't get the bus as much as I used to and we've discussed before our preferred bus seats um and they were both upstairs yeah but then I remember like last year I had this it got on the bus one day and I had this realization I was like Louise you're in your 40s you can sit downstairs
I probably would only ever sit in the back row.
But you have to consider the type of bus.
If it is a bus that runs on petrol or diesel, you might end up sitting over the engine, which is hotter than the surface of the sun.
It's true.
So if it's an electric bus, you're fine for the most part.
If it is a petrol or diesel bus and it is a warm day or you tend to run hot...
Oh, you're in trouble.
