And perhaps the most problematic thing at that point is that once you've added in some number of hopping egos or something like that, it becomes a bit unclear why we have a many world scenario at all.
If you've added the structure which sort of picks out well-defined pathways through the worlds, it said, let's just get rid of all the worlds and have just one pathway through the world, and that's what actually happens.
So I think it's quite important for the sort of Everetsian dialogue.
to r to resist the idea that you should add something to sort of single out probabilities in this way because as soon as you do that, it it sort of seems like the argument for having multiple worlds at all just goes away.
Right.
It's the personal identity teleportation.
Okay, so I my thinking about this is in some ways quite similar to thinking about self-location.
Um I think that a lot of people have an idea of personal identity as a sort of well-defined thing that you can track through time and there are very well defined facts about I'm gonna t I'm this person now and I'm gonna turn into this other person in the future and so on and so forth.

Uh and so in p in particular you have can have scenarios where you're imagining s sort of various kinds of splitting and branching cases.
Um and I think many people have an intuition that there's gotta be some fact of the matter about which one of these teacher people is me.
There's got to be some sort of extra fact which singles out who I am.
Um and for much of the same reasons as as in the self-location case, uh I don't think there are any such facts.
I think that there are the physical facts about there's this but there's
Body which is causally related to this other body in the future.
And usually m this body is going to be causally related to only one body at each future time.
Maybe in some particular strange scenarios it could be causally related to two bodies.
But I think once you've sort of laid out all of those physical facts about where the bodies are and what they're doing, there's there's nothing further to be said.
There's no further question of personal identity or whether this one is really me.
