So for that reason I think that uh my my relationship to my future self in the ordinary course of events is not really significantly different to my relation to my future self if I'm to go through this teleporter.
If I go through the teleporter, the the idea is that I I'm gonna be dissolved and reconstituted somewhere else.
That that reconstituted version is still gonna be causally related to this body in pretty similar ways, gonna have all the same memories, it's gonna have all the same kinds of things.

Um so it seems to me that that that reconstituted version of me in the future is is is me in just the same sense as
I'm gonna be me tomorrow in the sort of ordinary course of events.
I don't think there's any sort of deep and principle distinction between those two cases.
And so if you're not afraid of sort of going to sleep and waking up tomorrow, then you also shouldn't be afraid of going into the teleporter because your relation between your yourselves at those times seems to me to me to be pretty pretty much the same.
Well I guess I uh it's this this idea that there's there's a sort of fact of the matter about whether it's me or not is is what I kinda wanna deny.
Um I think that once you have described what is going to happen in this situation
That's all that you can do.
Uh so you you you've set out your story, you said this will k this will kill you and we'll create a similar copy at the other end.
There's no further fact about whether that is me or is not.
Um but in much the same way, there's also no deep fact about Emily tomorrow being the same as Emily today.
We're just two bodies which happen to be causally related in some way.

Although it it it sounds radical and scary to say, Oh, I'm gonna kill you and create a copy of you, I actually don't think there's any very s significant difference between that case and the case where I just go to sleep and wake up tomorrow.

There's no fact over and above the physical facts about whether that is me or not.
