Um, we will decide w which one it is uh based on the outcome of a coin flip.
Um so we flip the coin, and if it lands heads, then you'll be waken uh you'll be woken once on.
Monday and if we uh
where if it lands on tails, then you'll be woken twice on Monday and Tuesday.
Um so the question is about uh what credences should you assign to the outcome of the coin toss?
Uh should you assign um
And do the credences change if you're woken up and then told uh what day it what day it is?
Uh so various different approaches have been taken to try to decide what the correct assignation of probabilities is.
Um most philosophers I think uh are of the view that uh when you learn something about what day it is, uh you ought to uh change your or you ought to change your credences.

Uh my view is that uh because the the coin flip is uh
The coin flip issue is a superficially self-locating issue, whereas the issues about when you are located are pure.
The outcome is that the further information shouldn't actually change any of your assignations of credences because the right way to assign credences in these situations is always to assign the superficial self-location credences first.
And then having done that, arrange your self-locating, your pure credence.
finances as you would like.
That means that the pure information isn't going to change the the superficial information.
And so the probability is always going to be half regardless of waking up.
Yes, you're you're you you are not gonna know that you've woken up w at once or twice.
Yeah.
Um so self-location is is important to physical law, uh, particularly in the context of uh physical theories that deal with multiverses.
