Having a little bit of knowledge on how this process works, I'd like to remind Council Member Ramirez that the council does vote for the PAC member in the past.
Once the mayor, we approve the, we put up the names for nomination for the board director.
So from that, then the PAC does vote for the board of directors.
So in essence, when you nominate someone, you are giving that person the power
to do it from the council saying, we want this person to be our representative.
I cannot confirm that there never was authority because it's been going on for a long time.
So at maybe at one point there was that authority given and we just continue to go forward with it.
It's a process that has maybe not the transparency that you like, but it has worked trying to get four cities working together where everybody wants a piece of the power pie.
yeah, maybe it's not perfect, but it sometimes works and sometimes it works for Mountain View.

Largely, because I joined you in the northern county, and I remember when we did the vote.
Now, I don't think it would be any different, but it did strike me kind of odd that it was in a meeting that I didn't, I don't know if that was actually a Brown-Eck group.
like like I literally like pop on on my phone sometimes on that I didn't know if that was like that that formal of a meeting kind of thing and like I've seen like colleague and not colleagues counterparts in other cities either not show up or unclear on who's technically showing up on their city or that they're there and their camera is off so
