Good evening, my name is Melissa Lucan.
I'm the executive director of Rebuilding Together Peninsula.
And I appreciate the opportunity to speak to you tonight on behalf of the residents of Mountain View who've benefited from this year's funding.
CDBG funding has provided critical support for low and extremely low income residents who would have nowhere otherwise to go, who live in the most cost effective affordable housing that already exists.
Our mission is to repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives.
And in real terms, we essentially ensure that the
more broadly, we prevent displacement and also pride ourselves on preserving affordable home ownership and helping maintain the diverse fabric of the community.
Over 100% were low income and extremely low income this past year.
67% of those homes that we served had a person with a disability and 80% had a senior living in the home.
