So the the the primary reasoning in the comment letter from Google about their property at twelve hundred villa was that uh the city's rationale for recommending listing was the pr uh the property's prior use in relation to a religious use. podcast-host

And uh as a consequence podcast-host

Their rationale is that the council previously directed not to list historic uh resources that were religious uses. podcast-host

I don't think I view that as a religious use. podcast-host

Really, uh the religious use uh direction from council previously as I understood it was not to list properties in active religious use because they would be potentially burdened in the exercise of their uh religion. podcast-host

by the restrictions of the historic preservation ordinance. podcast-host

So those circumstances, to my knowledge, do not exist with Google and its other tenants use of the twelve hundred villa site. podcast-host

So I think there's sort of a podcast-host

misalignment of the religious the perception of the religious uh nature of the site. podcast-host

Uh it is the prior use as a printing press by a religious use that had significance at that period of history, given the type of printing press and and religious uh uh uses podcast-host

Um the council still has discretion whether or not to list that site. podcast-host
