So I really appreciate that staff identified and has continued to identify several areas that could use clarification, particularly about the ordinance role in our development review process. podcast-host

There's been multiple um bills that have come from the state, Senate Bill 9, Senate Bill 79. podcast-host

I think it's important that we say what SB is, their Senate bills, um, and making our historic protections are are clear as we're we're navigating the landscape um of of our city while we're trying to uh have development while also trying to understand what that means for us. podcast-host

So I wanted to highlight a few things that have stood out for me and maybe some additions. podcast-host

Historic plaque program included. podcast-host

I think it's a really nice innovative idea that staff has introduced that gives owners of historic properties something tangible and positive to point to. podcast-host

I also thought that it would be an opportune podcast-host

Equity and justice, which is uh historic significant cultural markers in our district, particularly our downtown district. podcast-host

And staff had done some significant work looking at not only our veterans plaque, but also our historic um district in downtown that had a you know a Chinatown, a Japan town, a podcast-host

would ask if we could kind of resuscitate those efforts as we're looking at the historic plaque program, but also what we can do as a city in our in our right of ways. podcast-host
