It is the most fired demographic to date because they're known to not want to follow rules.

You know, like, I'm changing my name.

I'm changing who I am.

You need to respect me.

You have to follow what I say.

I'm making, I am dictating.

Well, so much of it, I feel like, is they were trapped inside and then they came out and they're like, hear me roar and you're going to listen because I've been punished.

Whereas you may have suffered, but I've been punished.

So as a result of that, I'm doing whatever the hell I want, however I want.

And with that comes, if I want to buy a Chloe bag at 19, I'm going to buy a Chloe bag at 19.

I'm not going to wait till a certain age for me to earn a certain amount of money until

I will not be doing that.

And I think the fact that there are no retail rules anymore goes right back to that whole conversation.

Is the handbag dead?

I think the handbag is not dead.

I think you have to find where they're shopping for the handbag and resuscitate it that way.

Friction.

When I had the Handbag Awards at its peak and we were working with Bloomingdale's, I was talking who had become a good friend of mine, the fashion director, who was also the head of handbags and accessories.

And she said when she, their customer, gets their very first paycheck, she will go and buy a Rebecca Minkoff morning afterback.
