He said people started to hit and kick him and the two women stood between to stop them.
Now, during his cross-examination, he was questioned about his statement to Gardaí at the time, in which he said there were two young girls involved and that one had gotten away.
But he told the court he maybe wasn't clear at the time, but he's absolutely sure the accused pulled the girl from the woman and stabbed her.
And when asked where he believes the girl was stabbed, he said maybe to the neck or chest, but that she was wearing a coat, so he's not sure.
Yes, so Cahill Fogden is a nurse who was walking past the area that day at around half past one.
And he became visibly upset in the court when he described the children standing at the railing as quite idyllic and having their own fun.
He said he saw Ria Bouchaker moving up towards that part of the street and start going up and down the line, pulling out kids and started to go at one of them in particular.
And there was one man who came off a scooter, he said, or motorbike and brought the accused down to the ground.
We now know that to be Ciao Benicio.
