Yes, I actually can.
I think what he was saying, if you read between the lines or listen to the rest of the statement, he was basically saying that most of the inflation is coming from the rise in oil prices and energy prices from the war that the president started in Iran.
And that is accurate.
Most of the increase in inflation was from energy prices, an astonishing rise in energy prices around the world and here in the U.S., I think 40 percent or something like
No, never.
That's what is incredible to me that President Trump is just trying the Biden playbook and saying like, oh, this is just a temporary thing.
You know, it too shall pass.
I mean, what typically happens when energy prices go up is that prices for everything else go up, too, because energy is a crucial input in all kinds of different products.
You know, you got to drive stuff to other places and it costs more to drive the stuff to places.
The stuff will indeed start to cost more.
But, you know, we'll see what happens there.
Oh, yeah.
So the markets right now don't expect doesn't expect the Fed to raise rates.
They're just the expectation is they're going to just leave them unchanged, at least for the next meeting.
And what's pretty wild is that we all know President Trump wants rates lower.
And now Warsh is coming in, inflation, as you said, 4.2% year over year.
That's not the kind of situation where you're normally going to cut rates.
I mean, bond yields have been going up.
The markets want rates to go up.
