In just a few moments time, imagine a pizza ad that reads, if you hate cheese, please don't order this.
You'd think a pizza shop wouldn't run that ad.
But there's a new marketing paper that says telling people not to buy your product can actually make the right customers want it more.
Does that mean there's such a thing as exclusive pizza?
We'll walk you through this curious finding in a minute.
Great product marketing.
It may not be about appealing to everyone, every consumer, but instead being honest about who a product is for and who it isn't for.
Drawing boundaries can make the right consumers feel more seen.

Like, why would a company ever want to do that?
I'm reminded of the Yorkie chocolate bar, which I don't think does this anymore.
But up until like the early 2010s, this was a UK-based chocolate bar.
And it said, Yorkie, not for girls.
That was their marketing campaign.
And it made no sense to me because it's a candy bar.
