One really easy way, there's two methods to do the working from home claim.

There's the fixed rate method, which is where you just claim 70 cents per hour.

And that includes multiple expenses in it.

So it's a pretty simple and quick way to claim or the actual cost method.

Now, the actual cost method, if you do work from home full time and you have a lot of expenses from home, you might be better off using that method, but it is a lot more complicated and you need to keep extensive records.

So the fixed rate method is probably the one most people will use, but you do still need to keep a record of actual hours worked from home.

So you can't just say, oh, well, I did three days from home and

it was 70 cents per hour, and this is how I came up with the figure.

You might need a timesheet, a spreadsheet, even a diary.

You'll just need to justify your working from home claim.

So that's one of them.

The other one is your travel.

Of course, you can't, unfortunately, claim you're travelled from home to work.

That's considered just a personal expense.

But if you have to go between sites or meet...

travelling during work hours for work, you can claim for that.

So that's worth looking into as well.
