And generally speaking, that's quite a European, maybe an Asian trend.
But what I find with...
playing against teams in both the CONCACAF and the CONMEBOL region is that there might be more player-for-player situations.
And so there's differences in how you break them teams down.
And on some levels, it's not that one's harder or easier, it's just different.
And you don't realise that until you go up against it.
And I think we need to play more teams that are willing to go player for player against us so that we can work at the things we need to against that type of system.
I think it's the same...
And that means that they're going to get lots of transitions too.
And so I think it's important we play our game, but we recognise that we might have to set ourselves up slightly different against this style of play.
Well, first off, I saw Soph at the NWSL final and we had a long chat about doing the right things in the right way.
way in terms of her return to play i think portland and the staff around her have done a tremendous job to bring her back from pregnancy in a way that she feels not only well supported but her body is um able to cope with all the things that she's being exposed to so i think
the most important thing for sophie is a pre-season i think if she gets that under her belt then she can absolutely be a consideration for she believes but she has to get a solid uh pre-season with club i think when it comes to mal she is further away
than Soph and still you know the very early stages of post pregnancy and I don't know her timeline to be exact but I do think it will be behind Soph's and I'm sure when she's ready and well with the support she's got at Chicago she'll be back when she's she's fit and able.
Yeah, that's the challenge, to be honest.
It's going to be difficult to do all of it all at once, but...
One thing I'm certain of is that we've got great relationships to be able to ensure, first and foremost, that they feel fully supported to come back one step at a time.
Second of all, they've got to get up to speed with all the developments that have been taking place within the team because I think the team's style of play has developed in their absence.
And it's important for them to know.
And to be honest with you, both of them have often attended tactical development meetings online.
