a lot has changed and the world has moved on, you know, incredibly.

I just did a quick search just for a kind of basic, rudimentary list of things that have have changed since the kind of sixties, seventies.

And I mean the list is long.

It's, you know, access to birth control, legalised abortions.

I mean, in the UK, obviously in the US we've seen a reversal of Robus' Wade, but they did have a chunk of time in which they were made accessible.

You've had anti discrimination laws like the Equal Pay Act, both in the US and the UK, which has meant that women, you know, couldn't be discriminated against, although there's some issues there.

Nonetheless, it's a powerful law.

Yeah, financial independence.

I mean, there are so many things that have fundamentally changed women's lives and, you know, in context of this podcast,

because I think sometimes it's really easy, particularly when we are so

Hyper aware of everything happening around the world at all times because we have access to 24 hour news.

We have, you know, we're we're all currently on social media, we're on our phones the whole time.

So we are always chronically aware of everything that's happening, all the worst things that are happening around the world, because that's what the news cycle focuses on.

It's easy to lose sight of the progress that's being made and the good things because you're just trapped in this kind of quite negative news cycle.

this has often come up in the events that I host around, you know, we're going through such a frustrating time now.

I've got the Andrew Tate kind of manosphere.

You know, online misogyny is growing.

You know, what gives us hope that things are changing?

And someone on the panel just said people like Andrew Tate, the manosphere, the fact that you have such a violent pushback against women and women's rights and feminism only shows the strength of that movement because there would be nothing to push back against.

There would be no need to try and push women back if we hadn't made such tremendous.
