So you can set up all of those beautiful things and they could be running perfectly, beautiful task design, great routines.

But then sometimes you just have to say to the children

Let's go and look at the man who outside is fixing the bench because unless until we've had a look at him, nobody's gonna learn anything.

We've got we've just got to kind of have the common common sense lens that if there is something unusual or weird or novel going on, that with little children, sometimes you have to just embrace that because

There's no point trying to carry on with what you were doing because they are over there whilst you are over here.

I think I've said it before on the podcast when I saw the most crazy thing a few months ago, which seems crazy to say this, it was snowing here.

And I was w it was in a lesson watching a teacher who was trying to teach phonics and it started snowing.

And these children were so young that it was unlikely that they'd ever seen snow before.

And this teacher was trying to carry on teaching.

I was thinking, no, just stop.

Just stop.

Go and have a look at the snow.

And then come back because you are fighting a losing battle here.

So it's it's about knowing the science behind how children learn and putting that alongside the common sense and the practicality of and now this is what it's actually like.

It's interesting as well, Sarah, because

It's there's an alignment here with thinking about curriculum content as well, because there is a temptation to really overfill curriculums for younger children.

So it looks like it's doable, understandable, manageable if you just look at the content.

But then when you unpack all those underpinning competences that aren't part of the academic curriculum, but are supporting competences that they need to get to grips with.

How to hold a ruler, how to draw a line, how to underline something, how to get the scissors out.
