That was proposed by members of the FAI General Assembly to vote on issuing a formal request to UEFA for the suspension of Israel from European football competitions for a breach of UEFA institutes.

Members voted in favour to submit the motion to UEFA by the vast majority of people in the room, in fact.

Now, the genesis of this motion was Bohemians FC.

And I'm very happy to say that Daniel Lambert, Chief Commercial Officer at Bose, is with us on the line.

Daniel, how are you doing?

How are you lads, all right?

Talk to us a little bit about this proposal that you put together for the General Assembly last year.

I'm sure plenty of people are aware, but just give us the full picture here for anybody who's still catching up on this this evening.

And a relatively great sentiment within the association as well, right?

So why do you think the FAI have been so quick and strong in their statement today to say they will be fulfilling this fixture given...

the opposite seems to be evident in what your relationship was or what you experienced to try to get this motion through because there seemed to be widespread support for it.

I do want to come to the Irish government point in just a moment.

But in terms of what you've heard regarding feedback from UEFA, has there been any?

Just not to labour the point here, but it seems that the FAI followed up with UEFA on your proposal and UEFA have doubled down, Daniel.

Is that your understanding of the situation?

Where do you stand on a boycott at the moment?

Because it feels depressingly predictable that there will be no sort of positive response from UEFA on this.

I don't think we can expect too much from the sporting bodies that run global sport like football.

When it comes to our own decision making process and the things that we can control, a boycott is realistically one of those things.
