The other things, though, that kind of ring true to me, even though they're a bit fantastical, is when Homer talks about the stories of various people traveling in
in foreign areas or objects that came from foreign areas.
I mean, he mentions a mixing bowl from the king of Sidon that makes its way back to Greece.
That's totally plausible.
And somebody like Odysseus trying to get home, landing in a place like Egypt and spending some time there, that also is certainly within the realm of plausibility, if you will.
It is, of course, extremely difficult, if not impossible, to try to trace his actual voyage.
