I've never thought about this.

This is interesting.

I've never considered the preparation phase before because I grew up in an environment where I grew up in the trades.

My dad had tools.

My grandpa had tools.

My neighbors had tools.

We just built shit.

There was always tools around.

So in my mind, as we were at the beginning of this episode talking about this,

my thought was not like, well, you don't prepare and then do.

The do happens.

There's no prepare.

You just start building shit.

If you want to build it, if you want to be a woodworker, you don't cogitate and then plan and then purchase and then woodwork.

You just start building shit.

And I still think there's some truth to that, but I'm recognizing that

the unseen bias that I had was that there was tools available for me to just start building shit.

I didn't have to buy things.

Yeah.

I grew up in this shit, right?
