Like different experiences, man.
Yeah.
But the other thing that happens, and I think this stems from that.
And, and depending on the teacher, it can be perceived very negatively.
I know a lot of female teachers who, who take this as mansplaining.
And I'm not saying it's not because some people are dicks, but I think that the student who,
who has almost an uncontrollable vocal outburst of just giving information that is unwarranted.
At least in what I've seen, it doesn't feel to me like somebody trying to correct a woman
because they're a man and they know more, I think it, it usually stems more out of they're so unused to and uncomfortable with not being the person whose voice is heard and respected that they just are like, I have information.
And then it like comes out before they can even stop it, you know?
So now, now granted that could also be them being dicks and speaking over a woman, but it, it feels oftentimes a lot more like a, like almost involuntary.
I don't think they're aha moments.
I think they're more like, so a good example of this, Larissa was teaching a class and she was talking about putting a new table saw blade on the table saw and she was threading the arbor nut back onto the machine.
And on an arbor nut, there is a flat side and a pillowed side or a rounded side.
Now, through the entirety of my career, I could never have given two fucks about which side goes against the blade and which side doesn't.
But...
this particular gentleman in this class was like, well, there's a pillow side and it's supposed to go out and the flat side goes against the stiffener plate.
And she was just like, uh-huh, and carried on.
And now I'm not saying, I don't know this person.
