Now, again, that's one theory, but it makes a certain sense to me because I saw it happen with me and my friends. matched

But others, it just faded away. matched

They partied like me. matched

But as life changed, as their reward values updated, it all sort of went away or it slowed down. matched

And that just didn't happen with me, right? matched

And that's often then what happens is as the addiction begins to cause problems, sometimes the addiction starts to ramp up then. matched

At the time you'd think you'd go, hey, let's slow this down. matched

It starts getting worse. matched

And I think some of that is because of the shame of what we're doing. matched

It did feel amazing the first time. matched

How crass do we get on this show? matched

I mean, I've described it as like getting a blowjob from God. matched

So, yeah, it's pretty intense. matched

By the end, it's not like that, particularly with a drug like heroin that is so physically addicting. matched

What's happening is the dope sick symptoms are going away, which feels very good, but it's not the same animal. matched
