And there's been a thing over the last period of time where motivation has sort of been a little bit cast to the side. matched

And I think it's a counteraction to a view that says motivation is everything. matched

I think it's a balancing of that scale, but you can't throw motivation out the window, right? matched

It is ultimately the driving factor. matched

The problem is that I think we have multiple selves in a sense. matched

I mean, I have a podcast about talking about two wolves inside of us, right? matched

And so motivation is a fickle creature. matched

And depending on which sort of self is sitting in the driver's seat at that moment, it may be more or less motivated to do something. matched

So yeah, it is often much easier to just get the action done. matched

than to figure out how to get motivated. matched

So I don't know why I face resistance to exercise nearly every time I do it. matched

It makes zero sense to me because every time I've ever done it, I've been like, oh, that was great. matched
