And one of the things I do, I spend a lot of time talking to CEOs.

Let me tell you a very concrete story.

I met with a CFO and she told me that she wanted to use AI and get higher ROI for it.

And I said, that's great.

That's what you should be doing.

And then she said, and therefore, what we're doing is requiring measuring in every department

how much headcount reduction they have thanks to AI.

And I said, whoa, hold it just a minute there.

That's one way to measure AI is replacing workers.

And sometimes that's a good thing, but there's so many other things you can be doing.

You're a CFO, you're being paid millions of dollars.

I didn't actually say that to her, but that was what I was thinking.

You should be more creative.

Like, let's look at the upside.

What kinds of new products and services?

What kind of better customer service?

What kind of reduced employee turnover?

There are all these other metrics that a good manager can look at that will increase the upside.

And if they think that way, if they change their mentality, believe me, they're going to steer the technology.
