If you want this lifestyle, then you should go get it by working your asses off.
And he had very high expectations for our work ethic and was very hard on us in a way that today I'm really grateful for because he did create this sense of like, if I want a life that I love, then I have to create it for myself.
We always wanted to become less dependent on him at the earliest age possible so that we could feel good about ourselves.
You know, I think that there's a lot of, like, when you're not living up to your potential and you're not living your life based on your own merit, it feels very bad.
And what is challenging, I think, for us with this, like, visible parent in the world is that everything that we create and earn on our own today continues to be credited to being a nepo baby.
Yeah.
And it's something that if you fight it, it just gets worse.
So you have to let it go.
But it is hard when you are a very, very hardworking person that you are giving up time with your children, your marriage, your friends, free time.
You are so devoted and dedicated to doing something to its fullest extent in a way that is responsible.
And you'll always have that label.
The privilege actually comes from areas that people don't even call out.
The privilege comes from, we're not new here.
We know how to operate in a room full of overpowering men that want to take advantage of you or manipulate you.
We grew up in that.
We were sitting at tables with successful CEOs of companies.
We got advice from those people.
We've been exposed to success.
That feels different than being dropped in LA and having to wait tables and not knowing anybody.
