All right, my YNAB win comes from Becky.

Becky emailed us probably nine, 12 months ago.

And this has been shortened and slightly modified here.

So I love YNAB and it has changed my life since I started in April, 2023.

But sometimes I like to be a little spontaneous and

And I try to be able to keep some of my spontaneity even while budgeting.

As I have honed my budgeting style over the years, I have a wiggle room category that I try to keep $1,000 in to allow for some spontaneity.

My daughter has been asking for a dog, and I wasn't necessarily opposed to it, but was not sure if our family could handle the extra work of a dog.

So we've been slowly dipping our toes into considering a dog for the last year.

This year, I wanted to do something with a dog for our Hanukkah night for others, but I thought indefinitely fostering one again was too much of a commitment during the crazy holiday time.

I heard that a local shelter does a Tales Out program where you can sign up to take a dog out of the shelter just for the afternoon or for a sleepover, and I decided this year we would take a dog out of the shelter for an afternoon.

We ended up getting a one-year-old dog who is house-trained, walk-trained, and potty-trained already.

And after the afternoon, we asked for a sleepover.
