Yeah, that was at that point where I'm like, okay, I got to stop doing this because I was splitting things out so many times, you know, especially at Target or Costco and like, ah, enough of that.

And we've tried doing this live in the past, I think a couple times, but you're using your phone as a camera right now.

And I don't think it ever worked live.

You had to do a couple takes.

So this is where you have a split transaction and maybe you're entering in the amounts pre-tax and then you've got that leftover tax and you're like, oh man, how do I evenly proportionately distribute this across these other categories?

Instead of doing that time-wasting math yourself, now YNAB can do it for you.

Actually, YNAB has been able to do this for a really long time.

But I think this is one of those that people don't know about.

And this is one of those that we also got a comment recently about this.

And I wanted to read it because it was so good.

This came up on that episode where we talked about our favorite features.

My favorite feature of YNAB is pretty small, but I love it when I enter a split transaction and put in all my subtotals, then hit auto-distribute, and it automatically does the math of distributing the taxes across all the categories so I don't have to.
