You know, so this is somebody who really knows this game, but obviously the game has changed.
Well, look, a lot of people are curious about why this happened.
And the only things I can point to are the numbers themselves.
The overall turnout, by the way, was about a million voters.
So if you convert those percentages you see on the screen into raw numbers, Zoran Mamdani with about 400 plus thousand, Andrew Cuomo with about 360 odd thousand.
And this is record or near record high turnout.
The last time we had this many voters come out
in a Democratic primary, I think the only one that might have exceeded it was 1989, when David Dinkins ran and became the first Black mayor of New York.
And there was a lot of excitement around that race.
So there are a lot of people who are politically engaged, politically active.
I think Trump brought out, as he often does, a lot of Democrats who want to just get involved in the political process.
And this is the only thing that was available to them.

These are like more of the activist base of the Democratic Party that came out.
And that did not work to the advantage of Andrew Cuomo.
Not a big surprise.
I think I was a little surprised at how well Mamdani did in Manhattan.
If there was going to be a problem for Mamdani, it was going to be with the heavily Jewish neighborhoods in New York, many of which are in Manhattan and many of which are in Brooklyn.
