I find, for example, in acting, they always talk about this, is he a good listener?
One of the things, are you responding naturally like a human being?
In the art of teaching myself about acting, about how to be present with my scene partner, I've learned how to be present with you.
with my kids, when I'm at a baseball game with my friends.
Right, right, with anybody.
It actually, like, it's meaning, I'm taking the same idea that if you train to do a fight well and you really feel what excellence at that level is like,
you can feel it in other things.
You know what sloppy thinking is.
If you've been relaxed while you're doing something hard, you know what it's like when you're tense because you're not having that feeling that you had in that fight where you were really great.
That's the same with my... I've done performances where it goes up all by itself.
And it's an amazing feeling, and a lot of work and preparation has to go into that feeling of disappearing.
