But I also think that the thing that I watched tonight was Donald Trump turn everything, as he always does, into a rally about himself.
I am shocked but not surprised that he put a Trump 2028 hat on, which is unconstitutional, in front of people whose job it is to talk about the Constitution and defend the Constitution.
I think at the end of the day,
People will forget the speech.
It was an hour, and that's why it's going to be forgettable.
But what Donald Trump does starting tomorrow and continuing what he does tomorrow, attacking the press, is going to be remembered forever.

To be very clear, that is a lie.
Thousands of undocumented immigrants did not vote in New Jersey.
Trump is exploiting a DMV software glitch in the state that led to about 400 non-citizens casting ballots.
Governor Mikey Schell has made it clear those votes did not sway any race.
And yet Trump is now lying about that error to pressure Congress to pass his voter suppression bill.
And speaking of, House Republicans just slid voting restrictions into a bill that was supposed to focus on banning members of Congress from stock trading, something important.
Y'all probably care about it.
That bill is not expected to pass in the Senate.
