And so why do
Does this shift happen at all?
And interestingly, we can see that value created by AI, it moves.
And moving in that sense means that it moves away from purely producing content to completing outcomes and to acting in the world.
And with every step, we see that there is more autonomy transferring from humans to systems.
And
The adoption numbers show that this is going quite fast.
And so there has been the study provided by Informatica CEO Insights in twenty twenty six, which states that sixty-nine percent of companies have integrated generative AI into their business practices, which is a shift from forty eight percent last year already, and um forty-seven percent have already embraced a genetic.
AI in some sort.
And the consulting industry and Deloitte particularly finds that 74 organizations plan to adopt a gentic AI within the next two years.
But and that's the number that we now need to look into because only 21% have a mature governance model for AI agents.
And from this, there are three insights that I wanted to share with you that I think leaders now need to know.
The first one
Is that every step that we now take up the autonomy ladder, it's also a step up the trust ladder.
And what I mean by that is that with generative AI, you need to trust the output and you can verify it before you know you bring it out in the world, you share it with colleagues, so you are still the human in the loop.
Now with a gentic AI, you need to trust the action that someone acts upon your agency.
And the verification increasingly happens only after the output was created and the factors are already out there and most of the time also handed over to some next steps.
And then now with physical AI, you need to trust a consequence after a machine having acted upon out in the real world.
And so what we need to look into is of how trust becomes an operational
requirement when we now step up this trust ladder and autonomy ladder in that sense, and how we can also integrate that as a design requirement.
