And some of you might now say, well, responsibility in organization has always been a big topic and it's always something that is quite challenging to implement.
And yes, it's true.
It's anything but easy.
And I think that's exactly also the complexity that a lot of organizations find themselves in currently, because the systems now, including technological infrastructures and agents, become even more so autonomous.
Autonomous and while they do so, knowing which output and input and which requirements are defined by whom becomes a prerequisite for how the whole setup of collaboration works.
And so the more autonomy we attribute to agents, the more we need to be enabled through clear communication and a distribution of accountability.
Because autonomy comes with ownership and we need
To make sure that this ownership can be acted upon.
And interestingly, the risk is actually measurable.
And so you might have heard of the Stanford's 2026 AI index that has been or has recorded 362 AI-related incidents in 2025.
And that's a whopping 55% increase in one year.
And Rider's research found that 35%
Of organizations admit that they could not shut down a rogue AI agent if one emerged.
And some of you might have read that just now in the past couple of days in the news that with OpenAI this has exactly happened, where there's this huge conversation about if it has happened and what impact that now has also on security intelligence infrastructures.
And um I do think that that is something
That we need to now look even further into because more than a third of companies deploy systems that they could not stop upon.
And also IBM reports that 45% of executives cite a lack of visibility onto agent decision making, which is a like significant barrier and which their researchers also call a design choice.
And if we accept that this is a design choice,
Design choice, this puts also the agency back to us, right?
We need to design those systems so that we can have visibility on what we have built and how also those decisions are taken.
