And they've identified the summer of twenty twenty six, so this summer that we're currently living through as the last actionable window before the loop of compute, capability, revenue, and also reinvestment becomes too strong for Europe to ever catch up.

And they make the case for that about capital density.

Their argument being that you cannot build a frontier lab out of public-private money stretched thinly across, you know, 27 member states.

And when they talk about capital constraints, the concrete illustration they use is Mistral, which is why I want to stay with that for a moment and I also want to tell you a bit about the company.

So Mistral is a French company, and this year in May, they confirmed that they are.

And so that means that for the CEO of Mistral, who's called Arthur Mensch, he like subtly says that he's aiming for more control over their own infrastructure because they obviously compete with those giants like OpenAI and Tropic.

Said owning the chips may come, while for now they rely on Nvidia.

And if they follow through, they would become one of the first major European levels that would go for a custom silicon.

If you now look a bit further and more specific into the infrastructure, their new inference data center in Paris was due to go live around end of June, which would be housing 13,800 Nvidia.
