What they call in dangerous financial behavior, gambling, overspending is one of the biggest turn-offs for a potential partner.
job and job security is also a big turnoff for your partner it's really superficial stuff um or poor outcomes or poor social economics so it's really really hard stuff to say to talk to you guys about this but that all forms into the relationship question because unfortunately we are human beings and we do have biases we do have you know
behaviors and wants and things inside of us that aren't necessarily positive.
They can be negative.
Nothing wrong with that again.
I've been saying all the way through.
So getting back to your question about relationships and what needs to happen with them and what the studies show is that there is going to therefore mean that
You've got different pros and cons.
One of you will probably be better with money than the other.
That's fine.
One of you will probably be better at understanding what the family needs for spending.
That's good as well.
It's about identifying that.
It's about understanding also that you should not feel locked in to a relationship from a money perspective.
So the studies are now showing millennials particularly are more likely than not in a relationship to have a separate bank account.
And they had that- Interesting.
Yeah, pre and post marriage.
So they are keeping them separate.
As long as you're open about it, and the reason the studies say that this is working is because it doesn't make you feel like, A, you're being watched by your partner, and B, there is some control.
Because again, this gets back down to that psychological term from the New England Psychology of Journalism, I said autonomy, right?
