You can't run a marathon off the dot, right?

Don't expect to run into your money and investing off the dot.

You've got to do the work behind it.

And by the work, that is going for a K, two Ks, three Ks, then out to six, then out to 10.

Then you can start heading towards 15.

And one day you'll get to 21 and then you can go to 42 Ks.

It's the same with investing, right?

Start simple.

Get the confidence in understanding money, money, as in cash that earns interest, compounding it and how that works.

Step up and so on and so forth.

Yeah, so I love running too.

So the other reason I'll use the analogy is that you also need to remember with running that...

You may be going on a linear course, going from the 5 to 8 and then 8 up to 12.

But all of a sudden, you might find that after the 8Ks, you have to go backwards, right?

So, markets do the same thing, right?

You do your 8Ks and you're feeling great and then you wake up and go, I'm feeling horrible.

And you can't do the 8Ks, which yesterday you were doing in your sleep.

Yep.

Markets will do that same thing to you, right?

So they are going the right way.
