Of course they didn't want to get motherhood out of the Constitution, because you know what that means.
It gets rid of the definition of a woman, the definition of a... It was crazy...
So that's strike two.
And then strike three, let me throw this one last thing at you, Glenn, because it's the craziest part of it all.
So they elect their president there.
It's more of a symbolic role, but still, it's like the mascot of Ireland, let's say, but with more gravity.
It's a closed loop, though.
You have to get the support of incumbent members of parliament before you're allowed to run.
So there was this conservative woman who wanted to run named Maria Seen.
She was not allowed on the ballot, but more than 200,000 Irish voters
either spoiled their ballot or wrote her name in.
So those are three crazy examples of the entire Irish establishment being against the people.
And I think this fuel tax was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
And the whole country at the same time said, enough.
no no you're so right and i i think that the u.s administration has scolded the uk for its censorship and but ireland is even worse than the uk by some measures so tommy's half irish but he really is um i think uh his home base is the uk which is where you'll be speaking i didn't know you'll be speaking and that's amazing
Ireland is still in the European Union, and that means a whole bunch of crazy things ranging from their obligation to take in mass immigration and asylum seekers to they're part of the European-wide censorship program.
