And Archbishop Sheen was massively, massively important in giving a voice as to why we could not as Christians, could not as Americans, definitely could not as Catholics,
be communist.
And he's like, wait, wait, here's a bishop whose specialty is theology.
His specialty is things having to do with religion.
Why would he be involved in this big question of communism?
And the answer is because we know this.
We know that everything's connected.
As human beings, it's all connected.
It's not like I do my one thing on Sundays and then the rest of my life is disconnected from that.
It's how we think about everything is united on the person of Jesus.
in Archbishop Sheen was a voice, a powerful voice, standing against the evils of communism.
And I would say that what we need now is a voice like that again.
We need a voice that can stand against the evils of communism and the evils of socialism, because they're both evil.
They might want the same end.
I want everyone to have enough.
I want everyone to have food and rent and healthcare and bus rides.
But socialism and communism are both evil, evil mentalities.
They violate the dignity of the individual for the alleged sake of the group.
Now, the motivation is
I don't want people who suffer to keep suffering.
