did incredibly well, really, just short of a majority in the Senate, as you say, is an unashamedly pro-European party, but it was fighting head-to-head with reform, and the polls at many stages were suggesting that they were absolutely neck and neck.

So what we've seen is that the fissures that Brexit produced around the UK are very, very visible in Wales, and what we have are two blocks, essentially...

that have split into the right-wing bloc and the left-wing bloc, just to paint in very broad colours here.

And the pro-European and anti-European blocs are reflected in that way too.

And so I think it would be a very difficult subject to revisit, to be honest, despite Plaid Cymru's victory.

And also, don't forget that Brexit paralysed our domestic politics for years and years and years.

And we talk about the problems that the economy has now and the stagnation and the lack of economic growth and so on.

You know, the British economy didn't recover from the crash in 2008, but it certainly wasn't helped by having a period where our politics stopped working.

I mean, it was absolutely astonishing.

We've kind of forgotten about it because the trauma of Covid has wiped our memory.

But before the pandemic, there was a period when...

The government couldn't really function.

Nothing was getting decided.

Parliament was at a standstill.

Politicians within parties and with other parties were at each other's throats.

And that certainly didn't do anything to help economic growth.

Then Covid happened.

You know, it's taken a series of knocks.
