The Lib Dems got one seat.
So those two together are not enough to get plied over the line for key things like the budget.
The Conservatives got seven seats.
Labour got nine seats.
Labour and Plaid have a history of working together.
When Labour was in government for 27 years prior to now,
A lot of the deals that they did were done with Plaid Cymru to get their budgets through.
At one point, they were even in coalition government together in previous Senedd.
So it may well be that despite Labour having been absolutely obliterated, I mean, you cannot overstate what a terrible, terrible, terrible result this has been for Welsh Labour.
They may well be able to negotiate some deals here because they've got nine MSs and that would get them over the line.

I think they are by far the biggest opposition, an extraordinary result for a party that was basically nowhere in 2021 at the last centre of the election.

They have said they will not oppose for opposition's sake.
So it remains to be seen whether agreements can be made there.
But certainly I think Srinath Yadav would not want to be seen to be cultivating reform or doing deals with reform.
