It's something that I've been talking about for a long time, even back
before generative and agentic AI became popular, but in order to get value, you want to put these things into production.
So what you're talking about, you know, things like
Data data keeps changing.
You need pipelines that are going to bring data to the model.
You have to integrate all of that.
You have to understand, you know, what your data means.
So you need metadata, you need governance processes, you need infrastructure that keeps the systems up and running.
And the people who build the models may not be the same people who are responsible.
um for maintaining them, you know, so a lot of organizations spend a lot of time simply moving, cleaning, integrating and preparing data.
So you're data engineers, you know, you have data engineers who who help with that.
So you need engineering teams, you know, that
aren't just sort of trapped in a a cycle of maintaining the pipelines and fixing broken integrations, like if something changes upstream, then the data that's being fed to these models is not going to be the same data that you're expecting.
That's going to be a problem.
Um the operational crew is also, you know, responsible for testing
the whole application before it even goes into production.
They're responsible for
um monitoring the systems when they are in production.
There's teams that some organizations have that are called ML ops teams that are actually looking at, you know, what happens at the end of the day it's a piece of software, right?
