This is season four, The White Lotus.
For anyone not familiar, it's usually set in one of these kind of like high, posh, like lots of money resorts.
And usually there's a murder at the end, generally speaking.
And this season is going to be set in France during the Cannes Film Festival.
And Lena Bonham Carter came on board, supposedly playing this kind of washed up actress chasing a comeback.
And as you said, nine days into production, then she left.
Now, the party line is, and some reports are suggesting that Mike White, the creator, was looking for a bit of a more boisterous performance, but that ultimately the character that he had drawn up for Carter didn't end up aligning with the performance she was giving.
So she left.
And as you said, Laura Dern was drafted in.
I would say maybe a better fit given Laura Dern and Mike White are frequent collaborators.
They worked on...
enlightenment together.
But I had also forgotten as well, Dern was actually in one of the previous seasons of White Lotus.
Now she was off screen, but if you'll remember, she was in season two.
She played Abby, who was the estranged wife of Michael Imperioli's character.
So we don't know if she's playing that character or she's an entirely new character.
We do know it'll be a different character to Helena Bonham characters, as far as I'm aware.
But yeah, to be a fly on the wall of that production, for sure.
The Witcher, yes.
People will know it from Netflix.
