I think that he's smart in coverage, right?
But...
I don't know.
Everything looks very, very average to me.
The only thing that is not average about Dylan Theanaman to me is the combine testing.
And that's it.
All of the film tells me that this is an average player that is going to become a starter.
And from there, I don't know where he is.
And to me, that sounds like a late second round player.
I don't know where the bump is.
I don't know what it is.
I'm not seeing that makes him close to Caleb downs or even a first round pick.
I don't, if there's like a positional value argument for safety, then I do not understand why Dylan, the enemy is being pushed in this, unless you are strictly looking at his combine testing.
And just to tie a bow on the McNeil Warren thing is what I do notice about McNeil Warren biting on things and taking a chance is he actually does play at his probable testing speed or whatever.
He plays at a very, very fast speed where I actually see him recover from a lot of the times where he makes that mental lapse.
I don't think that that's going to fly at the NFL level, but like, this is a guy that actually does play at that speed.
You know how I know that Dylan, the enemy doesn't play at a four, three, five, because I watched him before the combine and all of my notes say average speed, average athlete.
Because that's how he plays.
It doesn't matter what he runs in a straight line in combine situation.
If he can't react or understand or trust his instincts enough to just fully fly like that, then it doesn't matter what he can do.
