I don't think anyone believes necessarily that it has a soul like the way a human has a soul.
But they will also say that it doesn't have, it's not completely inert like a stone.
So while it doesn't have a soul like a human soul, it's also not nothing.
What worries me most actually, here's what's interesting, Brendan, what worries me most today about AI is if human beings, all of us, receive it passively like we did our technologies.
In other words, you let the few people who are developing it or paying for it or who will be rewarded for it, the successful, to determine where it goes.
It's called technical or technocratic determinism, but it is what it is.
I don't agree with that at all.
I think that we need, like what the Pope said in the New Encyclical, he said that we all have a role to play.
And we all have a brick on this new wall of Jerusalem to lay.
Everyone has a role to play.

Look, I've met these people, and I've met people outside on Tropic, too.
These are men and women of goodwill.
They are trying to do the right thing.
Now, look, I get it.
The road of hell is blazed with good intentions.
But here's the thing.
You need goodwill first before you can do the right thing.
Now, once you've got the goodwill, you've got to engage with them and help them.
