I've never been through this in my life.
I've always been put on pedestals.
And this one, I felt like it was lower than Lent.
So it was just a place where I had to go.
And I remember my vocation director saying, tell me what's going on.
And then they told him, they all said the same thing, what I just told you.
And he was just like, I don't know about this.
And he had every right to feel that way.
The vocation director?
And then I then had the courage at that point to say,
If this isn't right for you, I totally understand and agree with it, but I know my vocation is real and I've placed myself on the line of being honest and I will find a home to live out my vocation with Christ.
And when I said that, that's what changed the conversation to opening everyone's heart, including my vocation director, to give me a chance.
And that's when I started.
That's when soon after I entered into formation.
Wow.
Because I was willing to fight for the truth.
I bared my soul.
I was transparent about my life.
And I was going to be a witness of God's mercy and love to everyone I meet.
And that is what I wanted to showcase to them and to my vocation director.
