She would make sure she'd feed all the other kids on the street or the, you know.
She would feed the entire house and the next door neighbours as well.
Anybody that she, everybody looked after everybody, you know, back then.
She was ensuring that everyone got something.
A hundred percent.
And she took great pride in being a mother.
And as I said to you, there was times that she, you know, she would worry, but she got a job herself, which was quite, you know, unusual.
Like, so she went, she used to, there was a factory up the road, Carol's factory that made cigarettes and she would go up there.
She cleaned the offices or she would clean schools and she took great pride in the fact that she would do that.
So she'd have her own few bob for herself, you know, so that she wouldn't be dependent on anybody and everything.
You know, so she was an independent woman and I know times were hard for her.
But the one thing that brought unbelievable joy to my mother was singing.
She was like she knew hundreds of the old musical songs.
And yeah, she was an incredible human being.
Sing songs.
Yeah, it wasn't like we weren't, you know, the way we're all in the music industry, but it wasn't kind of, oh, you have to learn this guitar, you have to do this, you have to do that.
It was just the sing songs that really kind of, I think, just inspired us.
My brother, Shay, who's the eldest of our family, when he was 13, he bought, he saved up like mad with my mother's help and they bought a little guitar for him.
And he was the one, I think, that really, he still is very passionate about.
