I say a million dollars.
Almost always.
I don't know what it is.
It's like small businesses are worth.
And then they find that the next generation don't want their business.
They've got no savings.
They haven't put it across.
Right now we have about, give or take, $1.4 trillion held in property owned by boomers.
So we have money in this country.
We have actually a lot of money tied up in big four or five bedroom homes right across the country, farms, with a boomer generation of which they are at the stage where some of them are passing on.
That money will flow equally for the first time to males and females.
First generation where money has been left to children, but the money that's been left for children, those children could be anywhere between 40 and 60 to 70 years old when they die because of longevity.
So what will they do with that money is the question, because the money will flow.
Will they invest here and build businesses, create new capital markets, investment into technology and new things in New Zealand?
Or will they go, awesome, mum left me a million dollars.
I'm going to build a big-ass house and actually spend the rest of the time sort of jumping between here and some other market areas.
So we need to kind of define that because there's going to be people who are going to inherit money and some will inherit a lot of money because they'll have multiple properties or farms.
We want to make sure that money stays in this country and it goes into things that actually are good for the future for this country.
But again, no one's talking about that stuff.
It feels like sometimes I'll go into a room and they look at me like,
