And our core industry growing up was growing berries.

So strawberries, boysenberries, raspberries, gooseberries, et cetera.

With mostly okay results, but a little bit hit and miss.

But certainly, like anyone at that time, money was not abundant.

So you were very much left to your own devices.

And also you had to, everything was fixed.

Like if something broke, you fixed it.

You know, there's no such thing as going and buying something.

There was no throwaway society that we have today.

And when we weren't on the farm working and I wasn't at school, you know, it was just a whole bunch of friends on horses or bikes.

And we would, you know, we live in the farm life.

And I think that gave me a really good insight to hard work.

Both my parents were extraordinary hard workers.

And I think partially because they were young and trying to start things and they had three children.

By the time that my mum was 21, 22, she had three of us.

And my dad was the same age.

So they were within a very short gap between them.

And so I certainly didn't think anything about being unusual.

I mean, we had a family down the road who had 20 children.

Which just, I've never ever again since met someone with 20 children.
