you know, get a little bit down about it and think, oh, maybe it's just not going to happen.

But I was still enjoying myself, still, you know, still being a young kid and a little bit of mischief and stuff like that.

But yeah, just kind of went through that.

And it wasn't until way later on that I actually made a few teams.

you know, under, I can't remember now, but, you know, under 19s or something, under 18s.

And when you're around that age, and that's generally when you're at your worst, you know, as a teenage boy, just kind of coming into sort of, you know, trying to figure out what you are and who you are.

Oh, testosterone.

Yeah, exactly.

And all your mates are around and everyone's like, oh.

Yeah, yeah.

So I got picked in a couple, you know, and you still get named to go to trials and stuff like that.

And then it started happening.

But, you know, I started in like Auckland C and then Auckland B, you know, and so I went the long way.

Yeah.

And I think it probably wasn't until I kind of made around that Auckland C and Auckland B team when I was kind of –

you know, 20-ish, 21, you know, kind of in there where you think, oh, you never know.

Yeah.

And then, you know, get selected in the B team and play with them and then play with a few guys, you know, that were in the Auckland A team, you know, and so they were up and down and all that.

But, you know, you start mixing and rubbing shoulders with those guys and it's kind of.
