She was there as well, just swept away by the emotion of it all.

She deserves the keys to the city.
She was remarkably brave on that day.
She literally put her life on the line.
And there's a lot of people out there who can thank her for that in terms of they still have their own safety, their own well-being, their lives to thank her for.
And obviously those other members of the public.
It was undoubtedly a horrific trial.
And the judge commented on that in his closing remarks to the jury after they delivered those statements.

He said it had been very difficult to hear and he said it was his own belief that their verdicts were entirely aligned with the evidence and he said he couldn't thank them enough for their care and the attention that they have put into the case.
He said, unsurprisingly, that this was not an enjoyable experience and to reflect the trauma of what they've been put through and have had to sit through over the past few weeks, they were granted a 25-year exemption from future jury service.
Well, I'm a course correspondent, so I spend my days down in the courthouse, usually the criminal courts of justice, which here is the most serious criminal trials in the country.
It's a job I've been doing now in this role for 10 plus years.
And over the course of that time, I suppose I have been lucky enough or unlucky as some may look at it, to cover some of the most high profile trials that have come before.

I mean, I do spend some time a little bit further up the keys in the four courts where civil cases would be heard, the likes of Conor McGregor's civil rape trial a number of years ago.
