You may feel pleasantly tired after a walk.
But you should not feel as though every session requires several days of recovery.
Question four Am I beginning to look forward to walking?
You will not feel enthusiastic before every walk.
However, the routine should begin to feel familiar and manageable.
If you dread every scheduled walk because the sessions are too demanding,
Adjust the plan.
Question five, can I realistically repeat this schedule next week?
Now this may be the most important question.
Do not evaluate your body, evaluate your life.
Did the schedule fit around your work, family responsibilities, appointments, and other commitments?
A walking routine that repeatedly conflicts with your life will eventually lose.
Your plan must fit your life closely enough to survive a busy week.
When you can answer yes to most of these questions, you may be ready to move from three days to four.
Stage two four days a week.
The fourth walking day is where your routine begins gaining momentum.
But do not simply copy your hardest walk and add another one.
Make the fourth day an easy walk.
For example, Monday comfortable walk, Wednesday brisket walk, Friday comfortable walk, Sunday, easy recovery walk.
The fourth day is not there to punish your body, it is to reinforce your habit.
